Baseball Recap: Lakes Takes a Loss

Lakes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Steilacoom Sentinels. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lancers of the 11-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Lakes saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Brooks, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base.

Lakes' defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Steilacoom, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-3.

Looking ahead, Lakes will take on North Thurston at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Lancers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Steilacoom, they will square off against Foss at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Sentinels are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
