Football Recap: Lift for Life Academy Piles Up the Points Against Summit Christian Academy

It was a Battle of the Birds when Lift for Life Academy duked it out with Summit Christian Academy on Saturday. The Hawks took their game with ease, bagging a 50-23 victory over the Eagles. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Eagles are ranked 244th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lift for Life Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Phoenix Isaiah, who threw for 280 yards and four TDs while picking up 13.3 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 43 yards. What's more, Isaiah racked up 145.3 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Tony Woolfolk Jr. did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 229 receiving yards.

Lift for Life Academy's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Rashad Cross.

Lift for Life Academy's record now sits at 3-1. As for Summit Christian Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Lift for Life Academy will take on St. Louis University at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Junior Bills' defense has only allowed 7.8 points per game this season, so the Hawks' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Summit Christian Academy, they will square off against Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Fighting Irish's rather soft defense (which has allowed 31 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
