Basketball Recap: Big Horn Gets the Win

Big Horn had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They pulled ahead with a 56-55 photo finish over the South Bison.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Big Horn to victory, but perhaps none more so than Avon Barney, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Wulff, who posted seven points.

Despite the loss, South still got an impressive performance from Dominic Callahan, who went 9 of 16 on his way to 22 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Preston Decker, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 11 points and three steals.

South's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Big Horn didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-31 loss against Lingle-Fort Laramie on the 13th. As for South, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 55-42 defeat against Pine Bluffs on the 13th.
