Volleyball Recap: St. James Comes Up Short

St. James was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Sullivan Eagles, falling 3-0. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Eagles when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-6, 25-7.

Sullivan's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ava Todd, who had 13 assists and three aces. Kloe Greife was another key player, getting six aces.

St. James' loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Sullivan, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-5-1.

Looking ahead, St. James will take on Union at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sullivan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against New Haven at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
