Baseball Recap: Laker Takes a Loss

Garber hit Laker with a five-run fourth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lakers might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-5 to the Dukes, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Lakers have struggled against the Dukes recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Laker's loss dropped their record down to 20-6. As for Garber, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Laker will challenge Reese at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rockets' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Lakers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Garber, they will head out to take on Glenn at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Dukes 3.5, the Bobcats 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
