Cary-Grove can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They skirted past the Vernon Hills Cougars 12-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Trojans have posted since May 17, 2024.

Olivia Osadzinski was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Addison DeSomer was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Cary-Grove kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 7-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Cary-Grove's victory bumped their record up to 8-20. As for Vernon Hills, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-22.
