Volleyball Game Preview: Wabasso Rabbits vs. Red Rock Central Falcons

Wabasso is 7-2 against Red Rock Central since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Rabbits will venture away from home to take on the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Wabasso will be strutting in after a victory while Red Rock Central will be coming in after a loss.

Wabasso took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Springfield with a sharp 3-0 win. The Rabbits haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-19, 25-7.

Meanwhile, Red Rock Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Murray County Central.

Red Rock Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Wabasso, their win bumped their record up to 16-10.

Everything went Wabasso's way against Red Rock Central in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Wabasso made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rabbits since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
