Basketball Recap: Prairie Comes Up Short

Prairie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The match between them and the Kamiah Kubs didn't end well, with the Prairie Pirates falling 62-44. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Kubs are ranked sixth).

Prairie's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Kamiah, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Prairie will square off against Logos at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Logos knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Prairie likes a good challenge. As for Kamiah, they will challenge Potlatch at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Kamiah's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
