League recap: Southeast Raleigh scores huge upset over Clayton

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Southeast Raleigh, who defeated 112th ranked Clayton, 35-31.

Adding to the longest winning streak in 4A Conference 12 this week, Knightdale beat East Wake 30-21. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Knights.

Garner Magnet's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Trojans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Brighton Hudson has thrown for 1,525 yards and 4 touchdowns this season, while Nyheim Miller-hines has 26 catches for 588 yards.

The Comets' Jace Brown needs only 13 yards against Hillside next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 163 carries Brown has accumulated 987 yard this year.

The Bulldogs moved up to 167 from 194 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Southeast Raleigh climbed the ranks as a result of beating Clayton 35-31.
