Baseball Recap: JW North Finds Home Field Redemption Against Heritage

JW North's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to El Modena on Tuesday. The Huskies never let the Heritage Patriots get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. This was payback for the Huskies, who suffered a 5-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The result came thanks to Thomas Salter's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up seven Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because JW North is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 0-12-1 otherwise.

At the plate, JW North saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Bittner, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

With the victory, JW North broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-13-1. As for Heritage, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 15-6.
