Basketball Recap: Clover Extends Winning Streak to Four

Gaffney came into Tuesday's match looking for another win against Clover, but Owen Galeota wouldn't allow it. The Clover Blue Eagles had just enough and edged the Gaffney Indians out 66-63 thanks in part to Galeota, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 21 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Gaffney's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rickey Littlejohn, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Deylen Whitaker, who posted nine points and eight rebounds.

The win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.8 points per game. As for Gaffney, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Clover wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 72-59 loss against Huss on the 7th. As for Gaffney, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-41 defeat against Fort Mill on the 6th.
