It was a good run, but Monrovia unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Dos Pueblos Chargers by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Chargers are ranked 18th).

Having lost for the first time this season, Monrovia fell to 3-1-2. As for Dos Pueblos, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 3-0-1.

Monrovia will square off against Charter Oak at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dos Pueblos, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 1-0 win against Mira Monte on the 7th.
