Basketball Game Preview: Jemison Panthers vs. Dallas County Hornets

The Jemison Panthers will take on the Dallas County Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Jemison not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since December 10, 2024 (when they won 71-15). They breezed past Holy Family Catholic to the tune of 51-5. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Tornadoes recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Jemison can attribute much of their success to Chloe Calloway, who posted 11 points and seven steals, and Trinity Bean, who had ten points and six steals. Those 11 points gave Calloway a new career-high. Kenyla Booker was another key player, putting up six points.

Meanwhile, Dallas County beat Ellwood Christian 37-25 on Friday.

The victory got Jemison back to even at 1-1. As for Dallas County, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Everything went Jemison's way against Dallas County when the teams last played back in December of 2021, as Jemison made off with a 54-33 victory. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
