Baseball Recap: Sherman Takes a Loss

Lovejoy hit Sherman with a four-run sixth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bearcats lost 10-0 to the Leopards. The loss continues a trend for the Bearcats in their meetings with the Leopards: they've now lost eight in a row.

Sherman's defeat dropped their record down to 9-20-1. As for Lovejoy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.

Sherman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lovejoy, they will head out on the road to face off against Celina at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bobcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Leopards' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
