Softball Recap: Los Gatos Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Los Gatos barely beat Mountain View the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats never let the Spartans get on the board and left with a 6-0 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 13 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Mountain View's batters probably weren't too happy with Ava Norquist, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 11 Ks (she gave up a single walk). Norquist has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Olivia Sickels was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Tessa Lilienstein, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Los Gatos, bringing their record up to 24-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Mountain View, their loss dropped their record down to 10-16.

As of now, neither Los Gatos nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
