Basketball Recap: Panama Beats Clymer Central for Their 11th Straight Victory

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Panama had no problem doing just that on Monday. They breezed past the Clymer Central Pirates to the tune of 68-41. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Panama got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carter Brink out in front who posted 20 points and four steals. Brink has been hot for a while, having posted 19 or more points the last 17 times he's played. Bryce Hinsdale was another key player, putting up 20 points.

Panama was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clymer Central only five assists.

Despite the loss, Clymer Central had strong showings from Roman Wassink, who scored ten points and seven rebounds, and Kameron Einink, who went 8-for-13 en route to 19 points. The dominant performance gave Einink a new career-high in points.

The victory was the 11th in a row for Panama, bringing their record for this year to 19-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points over those games. As for Clymer Central, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-12.

As of now, neither Panama nor Clymer Central have any future games scheduled.
