Payson had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past the Provo Bulldogs 17-2. Considering the Lions have won nine contests by more than five  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Ella Watkins looked comfortable as she  tossed three innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits.
 On the hitting side, Payson got a  massive  performance out of  Paisley Beckstead, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with six  RBI, two  runs,  and one  stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lexie Harmer, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  double.
 Payson  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .720. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Payson's win was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 16-4. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Provo, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record  this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Payson will take on Orem at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 8.1  runs per game this season. As for Provo, they will host Highland  at 3:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
