Midland Valley dropped their record down to 16-7 on Thursday, which also ended the team's nine-game streak of wins. They fell 5-1 to the North Augusta Yellow Jackets. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Mustangs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Bailey Seabolt made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double.

As for North Augusta, they now have a winning record of 10-9. The game was the first time they have beaten Midland Valley on their field since April 13, 2022.

On North Augusta's side, Eleanor Brummond spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on nine hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kaitlyn Mixon, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Celeste Truesdale was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Looking ahead, Midland Valley will be playing at home against Chapin at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for North Augusta, they are taking a road trip to challenge South Aiken at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
