Softball Recap: Quakertown Comes Up Short

Quakertown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pennsbury Falcons. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by just one run.

Leah Schwalm made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and one double. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Ava Eatherton was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Quakertown's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Pennsbury, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Quakertown will take on North Penn at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pennsbury, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against William Tennent at 3:30 p.m.
