Baseball Recap: Arizona College Prep Has No Trouble Against Paradise Valley

The Arizona College Prep Knights made easy work of the Paradise Valley Trojans on Friday and carried off a 12-5 win. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

Aiden Schnepf looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ashton Sanchez, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Cash Groppenbacher, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

The victory made it two in a row for Arizona College Prep and bumps their season record up to 14-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Paradise Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-10.

Coming up, Arizona College Prep will take on Desert Mountain at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights are facing the Wolves at the right time seeing as the Wolves are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Paradise Valley, they will square off against Buckeye at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
