Baseball Recap: Sullivan Takes a Loss

If Sullivan was feeling good fresh off their 18-4 takedown of Villa Grove on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Redskins lost 18-3 to the Warrensburg-Latham Cardinals on Friday. The Redskins were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Sullivan saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Elder, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Sullivan's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Warrensburg-Latham, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Sullivan will face off against St. Teresa at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Warrensburg-Latham, they will square off against Athens at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
