Resurrection Christian is 2-8 against Eaton since May of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Cougars will welcome the Reds at 4:00 p.m. Resurrection Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
On Saturday, Resurrection Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Colorado Academy and fell 4-3.
Charley Wilson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Brayden MacAlmon, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, Eaton entered their tilt with Strasburg on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 13-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Reds, who have now won ten matches by six runs or more so far this season.
The team relied heavily on Malaki Dalpra, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Eaton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Strasburg only posted a batting average of .250.
Resurrection Christian's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Eaton, their victory bumped their record up to 14-6.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Resurrection Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .357. However, it's not like Eaton struggles in that department as they've averaged .332. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
