Softball Recap: Newport Central Catholic Picks Up Third Straight Win on the Road

Newport Central Catholic lost to Dayton back in March, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Thoroughbreds came out on top against the Greendevils by a score of 15-10. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Thoroughbreds.

Newport Central Catholic's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.7 runs over those games. As for Dayton, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-10.
