Decatur waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They were the clear victors by a 21-5 margin over the Lawton Blue Devils. Considering the Raiders have won 18 games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Sienna Potter was a standout: she went 2-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Mallory Kelly, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs and four RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Decatur kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lawton only managed seven hits.
Decatur's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-9. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lawton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-15.
Decatur does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lawton, they will head out on the road to square off against Coloma at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
