Soccer Recap: Conroe Comes Up Short

Conroe lost to The Woodlands back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Tigers came up short against the Highlanders, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Conroe can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 399th, while The Woodlands are ranked 70th).

Conroe's loss dropped their record down to 6-9-6. As for The Woodlands, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-2-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Conroe will face off against rival Cleveland at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, The Woodlands is set to take on their familiar foe Oak Ridge at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
