Basketball Recap: Shore Regional's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

After flying high against Southern Regional last Friday, Shore Regional came back down to earth. 2025 welcomed the Shore Regional Blue Devils with a 66-41 loss courtesy of Ranney on Monday. The Blue Devils were down 54-27 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the loss, Shore Regional still got an impressive performance from Kimi Sayson, who went 8 of 14 en route to 18 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Ascolese, who posted three points and five rebounds.

Shore Regional's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3. As for Ranney, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shore Regional will face off against Ocean Township at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ranney, they will square off against Trinity Hall at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
