Basketball Recap: Fairborn Triumphs

There's no place like home for Fairborn, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They pulled ahead with a 32-31 photo finish over the Middletown Christian Eagles on Monday.

Fairborn found their leader in sophomore Brooklynn Kimball, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. Kimball has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Jones, who posted two points and three steals.

Fairborn smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in six consecutive contests.

Fairborn's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4. As for Middletown Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 8-4.

Fairborn will square off against West Carrollton at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Middletown Christian, they will challenge Emmanuel Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
