Southeast Alamance had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Seaforth Hawks on Thursday, sneaking past 48-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Stallions have posted since February 7th.

Southeast Alamance's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Clara LaChapelle led the charge by putting up 16 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Shaniya Paylor, who posted ten points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Seaforth lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Katherine Leonard, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 14 points and five assists. Gabrielle White was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and ten boards.

Southeast Alamance has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 20 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36.9 points. Seaforth's defeat ended a 13-game streak of away wins and brought them to 28-3.

Southeast Alamance has already played their next matchup, a 43-33 win against North Wilkes on the 15th. Seaforth does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
