South Rowan had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Northwest Cabarrus on Saturday. South Rowan blew past Northwest Cabarrus 10-2. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won five matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

The win was the third in a row for South Rowan, bringing their record up to 8-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Northwest Cabarrus, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Rowan will head out to take on Lake Norman Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
