The Muncy Indians will head out on the road to  face off against  the Warrior Run Defenders  at 2:30  p.m.  on Saturday. Muncy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.4  points per game  this season.
Last Wednesday, Muncy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap  as they fell  51-47 to South Williamsport.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from  Nathan Rogers, who  posted 11 points in addition to five  rebounds and four  steals. Another player making a difference was  Dominic Guardini, who  scored 12  points and four  steals.
 Even though they lost, Muncy  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 18  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least eight  offensive boards in 21 consecutive  contests  dating back to last season.
 Meanwhile, Warrior Run fought the good fight in their overtime  game against Central Columbia  on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory  and fell  52-51 to the Bluejays. The Defenders have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second  loss in a row.
 Muncy suffered their first road  defeat, dropping their record down to 17-3. As for Warrior Run, their record now sits at 15-4.
 Things could have been worse for Muncy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took  a  58-40 loss to Warrior Run when the teams last played  back in December of 2023. Can Muncy avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
