Dyersburg won the last time they faced Dyer County and things went their way on Friday too. The Dyersburg Trojans walked away with a 65-52 win over the Dyer County Choctaws. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Choctaws are ranked 288th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Dyersburg and bumps their season record up to 12-10. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points over those games. As for Dyer County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dyersburg will host South Gibson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dyersburg knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully South Gibson likes a good challenge. As for Dyer County, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Obion County at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Obion County has four straight wins, Dyer County has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
