Union Colony Prep has gone a perfect 4-0 against Nederland recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Timberwolves will be home for the holidays to greet the Panthers at 8:00 p.m. Union Colony Prep has given up an average of 61 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Union Colony Prep is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Prairie on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Timberwolves had to suffer through a 63-36 loss at the hands of the Mustangs. The game marked the Timberwolves' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Nederland). They enjoyed a cozy 61-44 win over Two Roads Charter School on Saturday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their 28-point performance the contest before.

Union Colony Prep better focus on containing Mason Ivey and Casey Hambourger as the pair were huge in Nederland's win. Ivey posted 15 points along with six assists and four steals, while Hambourger dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. That's the most assists Ivey has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Indio Koonz, who had eight points and six boards.

Nederland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Union Colony Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Nederland, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
