Basketball Recap: East Carter's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

East Carter can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against the Portageville Bulldogs by a score of 45-37. This was a revenge game for the Redbirds: when they faced off against the Bulldogs last Friday, they had to take a 48-44 loss.

The victory got East Carter back to even at 5-5. As for Portageville, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

East Carter didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-52 defeat against Twin Rivers on the 28th. As for Portageville, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on New Madrid County Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 6th.
