Softball Game Preview: Highland Regional Tartans vs. Delsea Crusaders

Highland Regional hasn't had much luck against Delsea recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Tartans will be playing at home against the Crusaders at 3:45 p.m.

Highland Regional came up short against Overbrook on Tuesday, falling 21-5. The Tartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carlianny Molina made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylie Will, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Delsea gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They blew past Deptford 16-3. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last eight times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Highland Regional now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Delsea, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-0.

Highland Regional couldn't quite get it done against Delsea in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 6-1. Can the Tartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
