New Foundations waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They strolled past The City School Lions with points to spare, taking the game 59-40. Given New Foundations' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 299th, while The City School is ranked 703rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

New Foundations' victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for The City School, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

New Foundations will square off against Kohelet Yeshiva at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for The City School, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 86-48 defeat against Mesivta on the 8th.
