Arvada West strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They took their game with ease, bagging a 48-0 victory over the Denver East Angels. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won five matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.

Logan Duhachek had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 305 yards and one touchdown. What's more, he racked up 12 rushing yards, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Tyriek Cullum was another key player, rushing for 59 yards and a pair of TDs.

Arvada West's run defense was locked in: Denver East could only muster 2.3 yards per carry. While three picked up at least five total tackles, Cullum stood above the rest. He rushed for 59 yards and two scores. Arvada West didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 5.8.

Arvada West didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Atticus Tillman and Tucker Rhoades. Arvada West received some extra help from Jessen Truesdel, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Arvada West's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Denver East, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Arvada West didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 28-27 victory against Chatfield on the 24th. As for Denver East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 48-7 loss against Ralston Valley on the 23rd.
