Basketball Recap: Islamic Foundation Comes Up Short

Islamic Foundation lost against Unity Christian Academy back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Islamic Foundation Chargers took a blow against the Unity Christian Academy Phoenix, falling 113-42.

Malachi O'Neal had a dynamite game for Unity Christian Academy, going 12 for 19 en route to 27 points. Those 27 points gave O'Neal a new career-high. Mason O'Neal was another key player, going 8 of 15 on his way to 18 points and three steals.

Islamic Foundation's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Unity Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Islamic Foundation will face off against Hinsdale Adventist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Unity Christian Academy, they will take on Hammond Baptist at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Unity Christian Academy sitting on four straight wins and Hammond Baptist on eight.
