Volleyball Recap: Gordon Lee Beats Armuchee for Their Third Straight Victory

Gordon Lee entered their tilt with Armuchee on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Indians by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 19-25, 25-18, 25-17.

Gordon Lee can attribute much of their success to Kynidie Gaffin, who had 13 digs and five aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Gordon Lee was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 19 consecutive matches.

Despite the loss, Armuchee saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ava Grace Crump had nine digs and three aces. Crump is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 30 games she's played.

Gordon Lee's record now sits at 34-10. As for Armuchee, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 24-14.

Looking ahead, Gordon Lee will host Darlington at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Armuchee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
