Baseball Game Preview: Logan Elm Braves vs. Fairfield Union Falcons

The Logan Elm Braves will challenge the Fairfield Union Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Logan Elm will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Logan Elm came out on top against Washington on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Braves walked away with a 6-1 win over the Blue Lions. The game was the first time the Braves have beaten the Blue Lions on their field since May 14, 2015.

Meanwhile, Fairfield Union hadn't done well against Hamilton Township recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Falcons had just enough and edged out the Rangers 11-10. The game was the first time the Falcons have beaten the Rangers on their field since April 19, 2023.

Braxton Rowles was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Angelo Galella was another key player, getting on base in two of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Fairfield Union is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Logan Elm, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 5-17.
