Basketball Game Preview: Rockvale vs. Mount Juliet Golden Bears

Rockvale just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Mount Juliet Golden Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, Rockvale ended up a good deal behind Ezell-Harding Christian and lost 70-54. While losing is never fun, Rockvale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while Ezell-Harding Christian is ranked 32nd).

Meanwhile, Mount Juliet had to endure an 11-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They slipped by Springfield 57-56 on Tuesday.

Mount Juliet's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-10. As for Rockvale, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

Rockvale came up short against Mount Juliet in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 50-44. Can Rockvale avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
