Softball Recap: Soledad Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Soledad never let their opponents score on Friday. Everything went their way against the Marina Mariners as they made off with a 15-0 win. The Aztecs have beaten the Mariners the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Mariners has come to flipping the script.

Delylah Ocampo was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Aubrey Esparza was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Soledad hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive games.

Soledad pushed their record up to 13-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Marina, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.

Coming up, Soledad will venture away from home to take on Carmel at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Padres will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Aztecs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Marina, they will welcome Anzar at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
