Football Recap: Foundation Academy Starts off Right with Win over Master's Academy

Foundation Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victors by a 33-8 margin over the Master's Academy Eagles on Friday. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 42-17 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Sam Wood was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 124 yards and four TDs. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

Foundation Academy's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB 8.5 times. Leading the way was Mika Johnson with two sacks. Aiden Cubero was another major factor on D, picking up 1.5 sacks, forcing one fumble, and making nine total tackles.

Foundation Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 14-0 victory against Cornerstone Charter Academy on the 22nd. As for Master's Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 43-20 win against Father Lopez on the 22nd.
