Football Recap: Foundation Academy Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Foundation Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against the Master's Academy Eagles on Friday as they made off with a 33-8 victory. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 42-17 loss the last time these two teams met.

Sam Wood was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 124 yards and four TDs. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

Foundation Academy's defense stepped up as well, laying out Ashton Bosco. 8.5 times. Mika Johnson was especially locked on to Master's Academy's QB and sacked him twice. Another thorn in the Eagles' side was Aiden Cubero, who picked up 1.5 sacks, forced one fumble, and made nine total tackles.

Foundation Academy has already played their next game, a 14-0 win against Cornerstone Charter Academy on the 22nd. As for Master's Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 43-20 victory against Father Lopez on the 22nd.
