Canyon View strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on the Desert Edge Scorpions with a sharp 21-3 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Jaguars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Brooke Downs, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sedona Hernandez, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

Canyon View was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in 15 consecutive games.

Canyon View's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Desert Edge, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Canyon View will be taking part in a tournament against Otay Ranch at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Desert Edge, they will host Youngker at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
