Volleyball Preview: Northwood Academy Chargers vs. Hammond Skyhawks
Northwood Academy has been away from home for nine games now, but on Tuesday they'll finally make their return. They will host the Hammond Skyhawks at 5:00 p.m. Northwood Academy will be strutting in after a win while Hammond will be coming in after a defeat.
On Monday, Northwood Academy made easy work of Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics and carried off a 3-0 victory.
The final score came out to 25-12, 25-20, 25-10.
Meanwhile, Hammond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to Ben Lippen. While the Skyhawks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Falcons 25-9 in the first period.
Hammond started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-9, 25-16, 25-13.
Northwood Academy's win bumped their record up to 11-6-2. As for Hammond, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.
