The ED White Commanders will square off against the Andrew Jackson Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. ED White has given up an average of 10.9 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
ED White took a 26-run loss the last time they faced off against Riverside, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Commanders had just enough and edged out the Generals 12-11 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Commanders.

Austin Reyes made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. ED White is 2-1 when Reyes posts two or more stolen bases, but 2-6 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Marion Laguerre, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games he's played.
ED White always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. They are 3-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 18 runs the game before, Andrew Jackson was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They lost 16-1 to Duval Charter. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Lamar Stanfield made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1.
ED White's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Andrew Jackson, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. ED White has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 11.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Andrew Jackson struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
ED White was able to grind out a solid victory over Andrew Jackson in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, winning 10-6. Do the Commanders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
