Volleyball Recap: Wednesday's Loss Ends Miami Beach's Winning Streak

If Miami Beach was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Hebrew Academy on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hi-Tides fell just short of the Goleman Gators by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Hi-Tides' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Miami Beach wouldn't go down easily and took Goleman into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-16, 23-25, 22-25, 15-11.

Goleman found their leader in sophomore Adrian Alexander Morales, who had 17 digs and three assists. Those 17 digs set a new season-high mark for Morales.

Miami Beach's loss dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Goleman, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season.

Miami Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Goleman, they will take on Hialeah Gardens at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
