Thursday, 7:30 p.m. Pacific timeWhy it's big: St. John Bosco would wrap up its fourth-consecutive Trinity League title with a win Thursday night at Orange Lutheran.
The Braves (8-0) have climbed more than a dozen spots during the season to their current position of No. 2 in the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Football Rankings presented by the Army National Guard. A big reason for their steady rise is a dominant 49-point average margin of victory.
All three of Orange Lutheran's losses are against current or former Xcellent 25 teams this year. The Lancers would likely win a share of the Trinity League title if they can break their four-game losing streak against St. John Bosco.
Names to watch: Washington-committed senior running back
Sean McGrew should go over 1,000 rushing yards for the season this week. McGrew, rated a four-star prospect by 247Sports, averages 10 yards per carry running behind a talented St. John Bosco offensive line anchored by five-star junior tackle
Wyatt Davis.
L.J. Northington, Orange Lutheran's Harvard-bound senior quarterback, has 1,310 passing yards and over 500 rushing yards and 18 total touchdowns. Junior receiver/safety
Brandon McKinney is a four-star prospect who makes big plays on both sides of the ball.
