Softball Recap: Dimond Takes a Loss

Dimond and Chugiak squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Dimond had to settle for second. They lost 12-3 to the Mustangs. The Lynx haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Dimond saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kinsey MacDonald, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Dimond's loss dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Chugiak, their victory bumped their record up to 21-5.

Dimond does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chugiak, they will challenge South Anchorage at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wolverines' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
