Volleyball Recap: Innovation Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Innovation had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Lake Wales Highlanders by a score of 3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Bulls sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Innovation was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 18-25, 25-16, 25-21.

Innovation got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aylani Correa out in front who had 14 digs and five assists. That's the most assists Correa has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Lopez, who had 11 digs and two aces.

Innovation's victory bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Lake Wales, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-14.

Looking ahead, Innovation will challenge Legacy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lake Wales does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
